Interior design in a modern style At the beginning of the 20th century, a modern, artistic style was known as avant -garde. From the very meaning of the word, the spirit of this direction of design becomes clear. The word belongs to military terminology and means some military unit put forward to the advanced position. The principle of this direction is the rejection of classical directions and the search for new original art forms, that is, the style symbolizes the experimental approach to artistic design. The beginning of the 20th century is characterized by revolutionary sentiments that have mastered the minds of youth and, therefore, the rejection of traditional canons and rules, the search for decisions more than those corresponding to the spirit of the time and the realities of the present.
