In the middle of the Pacific Ocean, a mass of garbage is formed, the volume of which is 8.1 % of the total ocean. This phenomenon is known as a large Pacific section of garbage (GPGP), and, as assessed by scientists, contains more than 100 million tons of garbage. The ruins gather in that special location, since the ocean flows gather in the subtropical region of convergence, and causes serious damage to the direct ecosystem.
