Bearing gaps for a forced engine
Bearing gaps for a forced engine A gap is a distance that can pass the inner ring of a bearing relative to the external with a conditional load. The correctly selected gap decisively affects the work of the bearing and the degree of wear. The rings of the bearing, as a rule, are made of high -carbon chromium steel. If the part should withstand heavy loads, low -carbon alloys can be used. Depending on the operating conditions, there are optimal gap values in bearings, which allow you to correctly distribute the load between the details and increase the efficiency by reducing friction. The size of the clearance is also determined by the type of bearing, the nature of the landing and the operating temperature. Non -compliance with the recommended values can lead to a malfunction. If the distances between the rings are too large, then the part wears out significantly earlier than the due date. Too small gaps provoke overheating, which is most likely ending in the failure of the entire mechanism. The material overheating and in the molten state falls into other parts of the part, thereby increasing the heating area, which leads to a malfunction of the part. The correct size of the gap for an increased power is achieved by grinding the neck of the crankshaft to the minimum permissible size, which is determined by the manufacturer. This method allows you to achieve the maximum - from the permitted by the manufacturer - the size of the gap. The recommended indicators for sliding bearings are in the range from 0, 04 to 0.064 mm, and in the rolling bearings the gap should be from 0, 025 to 0, 05 mm. Subject to these parameters, the gap will reduce friction, which will extend the life of the mechanism. But at the same time, it will not be large enough to prevent excess oil supply to the bearing. If the engines for which the clearance is calculated regularly exceeds the indicator of 6500 revolutions, then the gap must be increased by 0.013 -0, 025 mm. Поделись с друзьями:
