Information sign: what is
Information sign: what is An information sign is a very selective and very noticeable poster that tells people about the purpose of the object or gives them instructions for using something. An example is a road sign such as a "stop sign".Thanks to the development of technology, information signs have become more visible. Hundreds of years ago, signs were made of wood, and the words and images were then handed manually. Another traditional way to create signs was cutting individual letters made of wood or by forging metal, after which the letters were placed in the corresponding sequence. Although both of these methods are still working, the technologies for creating signs have recently been rapidly developing. Woodworking equipment can now be controlled by computers. Cast signs more and more appear from plastic, which makes them much more flexible than metal, and also significantly reduces the cost of production. In addition, completely new technologies allowed using computer cutting to create vinyl signs and signs. The manufacture and material of road signs is regulated by the Vienna Convention on road signs and signals, which is an international treaty aimed at improving road safety and assistance to international road traffic through standardization in the road traffic system. Road signs, traffic lights and road markings are used at the international level. The Vienna Convention was coordinated by the UN Economic and Social Council at its conference on road traffic in Vienna from October 7, 1968 to November 8, 1968 and entered into force on June 6, 1978. This conference complements the legislation on standardization in relation to international laws of movement. Поделись с друзьями:
